But when I click back to the weather applet it disappears. Looked in ~.local/share/cinnamon/applets and found two entries: one for the new mockturtle app, and one for an older cinnamon-weather app.Presumably this was a holdover from before my upgrade to Betsy.
Everything else in the app works I can change switches on and off and such.
Im very new to Openhab and rather new to coding and any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry right after I posted this it was late and I went to bed.
So the good news is you don't need to create an Item to represent all the values in your webview. As some of you here, I have not been entirely pleased with UI design and UX of current Android client.
The bad news is you can now only put weather binding info into your webview. I was using the weather binding to make a house state monitor UI with several items state (weather of course, temperature, humidity, air quality, etc.). In addition, I wanted: - more flexibility for voice commands (different for each device) - UI widgets that are specific to common home automation use cases such as thermostat - responsive interface f…
Next to the "Add to Panel" button in the bottom left, there should be a "Configure" button. Copy and paste your WOEID to the box in the "Weather" settings, also near the top.
With any luck, the applet should now display the weather report.mrdachshund86Thanks, mrdashhund.I deleted both, then reinstalled the new weather app from the settings menu, and it's now working. At the risk of resurrecting an old thread, there have been changes made in OH 1.8 that make the example I listed in the above postings no longer valid. Here is the code: String Condition_Id "Weather is [MAP(yahoo_weather_code.map):%s]" (Weather) // Weather panel Group g Weather_Chart (g Weather)Number Weather_Temperature "Outside Temperature [%.2f °C] °C" (g Weather_Chart) Number Weather_Humidity "Outside Humidity [%d%%]" (g Weather) Number Weather_Pressure "Barometric Pressure [%.2f in]" (g Weather) Number Weather_Pressure_Chart_Period "Chart Period"Number Weather_Temp_Min "Today's Minimum [%.2f °C] °C" (g Weather_Chart)Number Weather_Temp_Max "Today's Maximum [%.2f °C] °C" (g Weather_Chart)Number Weather_Chart_Period "Chart Period"Date Time Weather_Last Update "Last Update [%1$ta %1$tr]" Number Weather_Humidity_Chart_Period "Chart Period" /* Weather End */ In the UI, I noticed I am not also getting the Outside temperature to populate, or the Max / Min Variables to populate: Thanks @watou for the ideas. I switched back to "F" just for testing, but it didn't seem to make a difference.I get the following in debug, so seems to be working: 2016-02-21 .677 [DEBUG] [o.o.b.w.i.scheduler.The Weather Panel displays the temperatures for your location downloaded from The Weather Channel.
