I've tried a few port forwarding guides, I've turned off the media streaming option, I've also changed the DNS ports on my system and nothing is happening.
As Play Station 4 owners are currently beta testing the major update 3.00, Sony has released the latest Play Station 3 firmware update, 4.76.
Requiring 200MB of free space, here’s the one patch note for today’s PS3 update, which you’ve probably already guessed: For those of you who can’t download 4.76 directly through your PS3, head over to the US or UK Play Station sites to download the update using a USB stick.
Inside the PS3 folder make another called UPDATE (it has to be in all caps) System Update, and choose Update via Storage Media. The system will inform you that the update already exists. I can confirm that after the 4.0 update my PS3 was freezing like crazy, at least 7 or 8 times a day, but after reinstalling the update my PS3 hasn't had any issues at all.
This will re-install the 4.0 update over the one you had installed already and will effectively (hopefully) cancel out any issues it caused.
The games that are a part of the upgrade program are The upgrade program is offered for a limited time and codes must be redeemed before its expiration date.
The upgrade code for Battlefield 4 expires 3/28/2014, while the upgrade codes for Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghost, and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition expires 3/31/2014.
After doing an extensive Google search hunt for the past week or so I have finally stumbled upon a You Tube video uploaded by a poor soul who was one of the unlucky ones to have the new firmware update cause issues on their PS3. It turns out that you can fix the issues the 4.0 update caused simply by re-installing the update. well, you can't do it via PSN, as it won't let you. It seems that people that update their PS3 via PSN tend to be more prone to having issues with it than those who update via flash drive.
You're going to need a flash drive.3/pc_update/index.htmand follow the instructions. So my suggestion is just to play it safe, update via flash drive from now on.here's the video by the way:
Users of the console who have a PS Plus account can now find out the list of free games available for download in November.
Fans in both the UK and US will now have access to the following games: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and Steam World Dig.
