The goal of the Twitter bots was clearly to make Trump look like he had a lot of support and encourage others to support him, too, but what could the point of dating bots be?
Joe Veix did a little investigative work for by creating an account and looking for “hot conservative singles.” He reported that users, some with names like “Trump Lover350” and “Drain My Swamp,” were abundant, even around Oakland, California.
"My heart belongs in Derby," says the 32-year-old, who grew up in Littleover, started watching the Rams at the age of six and is always planning his next trip home. I schedule my whole life around the Rams." Our transatlantic chat occurred at 8.30am LA time, just after he'd watched the Rams' 1-1 draw with Brighton on his 60 inch bedroom TV with surround sound. We met at the Vic to start drinking at 7.30am and she thought it was great.
But, more important than all that, his return to the UK means Rams games and quality Sunday roasts are guaranteed.
"Last time I was here I had the best Sunday roast ever at The Boot in Repton." Best at a restaurant that is.
Well, bots just like that have appeared on the dating app that was set up for Trump’s fans.
Earlier this month, we reported that there was a spike in membership on Trump Singles after the election, but was all of that just a spike in bots? Are they designed to troll Trump fans or designed to get money from the fans?
I have regular weeks off now and we might pop over to Disneyland.
Later today we're going to Malibu beach." But the craving for football, Sunday roasts and full English breakfasts doesn't evaporate in the Californian sunshine – quite the opposite.
"I've become good friends with Vinnie Jones thanks to the Hollywood All-Stars and people like Ricky Whittle of Hollyoaks and Strictly fame. " Keiran is often recognised, particularly in the US where selfies and autographs are requested. A lot of fans send me gifts like i Pads or headphones, but I don't let it go to my head." Instead, he's more likely to call his best mate, a Derby bricklayer, for some down-to-earth banter. I'm godfather to his little boy and our wives are great friends." As for separating life from work he keeps it simple: "Keiran is on set and Adam comes home." But home is changing. I'll still work for Brazzers but we'll shoot in the UK and fly people in.
Guy Ritchie has played for the team, too, and famous people come to watch. Ricky's a big Man Utd fan and we'll get together for morning fry-ups to watch matches (LA is eight hours behind UK time). After nine years in LA renting a beautiful but expensive home, Derby is calling. Locations are cheaper over here." Mainstream acting may come his way too.
"I stayed with the Loughborough company for three or four years but other companies started to approach me so I went freelance. "I met lots of people in the industry and was then invited to a wedding in America. I played centre mid for Littleover Dazzlers and Mickleover Sports. I used to play with Lee Camp and I'm still good friends with Campy." Being 'stuck' in LA made Keiran realise it's far from the dream place we may imagine. He is now the number one male artist at Brazzers, a huge company which dominates the adult movie industry.
